When Michelle Sharman (above right) bid on and won a silent auction prize of a personalised tour of Rossdales Equine Hospital, she described it as "ticking off one of the things on her bucket list".
Michelle and her friend Ann Lewitt visited the hospital last Friday for a guided tour with partner Tim Barnett. They were able to see a number of surgical and medical cases, along with the state-of-the-art facilities that we have available to our clients at the hospital and diagnostic centre. Tim gave an in-depth explanation about how each of the different areas in the hospital and diagnostic centre functions, describing the uses of each of the various imaging techniques available to the clinicians, the surgical facilities and how the veterinary and nursing teams and support staff work together.
Michelle, who also took home a Rossdales equine first aid kit, said afterwards: "Ann and me had a wonderful morning and Tim was a wonderful host. It is a tick off my bucket list to see how an equine hospital works. Keep up the amazing work you all do for our horses."
Rossdales client Vikki Atherton ran the silent auction as part of a charity fundraiser for Willberrry Wonder Pony charity and raised a magnificent total of more than £1700.
