On the morning of Sunday, 17th September Rossdales Equine Hospital was open to the public for guided tours as part of the Newmarket Open Weekend’s full programme of events that were taking place in and around the town.
We were pleased to welcome more than 100 visitors, who braved the dismal weather to learn about what happens “behind the scenes” in a busy equine hospital and diagnostic centre, with informative talks and demonstrations given by our vets and vet nurses. Imaging intern Gloria Apati-Nagy is pictured above explaining to one group about CT imaging, when it is used and its benefits in aiding accurate diagnosis and surgical planning.
The Newmarket Open Weekend has raised more than £225,000 over the past 4 years for local charities. This year it was raising money for The Racing Welfare Newmarket Housing Project, the Newmarket Day Centre and the Newmarket Academy.
