Rossdales proudly hosted the British Equine Veterinary Association’s (BEVA) Practical Dentistry – The Essentials course on 18th and 19th November, with Tim Barnett and Mark Grant both lecturing and demonstrating over the two days. The course was attended to capacity by 30 vets from the UK, Ireland, Europe and Scandinavia. The course has been held at Rossdales (with the practical classes held at the nearby British Racing School) since its inception as the New Graduates Dental Course in 2003, with Rossdales vets Pete Ramzan, Robert Dallas and recently Tim Barnett being the course organisers.
Tim will then be jetting off to Germany to lecture on the upcoming Advanced Diagnostic and Therapeutics Techniques in Equine Dentistry course in Frankfurt on 24th and 25th November. He is also one of the founding members of the newly formed Equine Veterinary Dental Association (EVDA), and involved in organising the first Scientific Meeting in Newmarket in April of 2018.
Mark Grant will soon be taking up the role of Chief Examiner for the 2018 BEVA/BVDA accreditation examination. This qualification allows successful delegates to be listed as qualified members of the British Association of Equine Dental Technicians (BAEDT); ensuring limited routine dental procedures are carried out safely and efficiently in the equine.
