Special Evening Event on complementary equine therapies is a big hit with capacity audience.A big thank you to everybody who turned out on a freezing November evening to one of our biggest and best special evening events yet! Every single seat was taken as was all available standing room. The evening was hosted by Susanna Ballinger BVSc MRCVS, managing partner and head veterinary surgeon at Rossdales Hertfordshire. Susanna gave a presentation on equine supplements focussing particularly on beneficial constituents and bioavailability. This was followed by talks from our highly qualified guest speakers on a range of complementary equine therapies. Carolin Gerdes MRCVS, Senior Clinician at Rossdales Diagnostic Centre discussed the finer points of veterinary chiropractic treatment; Susie Grady MSc BSc (Hons) HCSP talked about veterinary physiotherapy and Emma Hedderson BSC MA VetMB MRCVS gave an illuminating presentation on veterinary acupuncture practice. All the speakers participated in a lively question and answer session at the end. Everybody who attended the evening was given a special Rossdales goodie bag containing, amongst other things, the Rossdales Equine Supplements brochure. The new brochure, launched live at the event, details the complete and newly updated range of Rossdales own-brand veterinary formula equine supplements. Refreshments for the evening were generously provided by Boehringer Ingleheim Ltd whose technical representative, Dr Sophie Ignarski BVetMed MRCVS, kindly assisted the Rossdales Hertfordshire team on the night. Always keen to lend support to a charity we invited Suzanne Charlton, Riding for the Disabled Association’s Chairwoman for Hertfordshire County to join us. A raffle in support of the RDA was held and we will shortly be publishing the lucky winners and their super prizes. As always, the success of our live events depends upon the enthusiasm of all those who join us on the evening. So once again a big thank you to everybody. Keep a look out for our next live event, details will follow as we get nearer the time. Be sure to follow us here at our news page, on Twitter and Facebook to get all the news as it happens. You might like to email us to ensure you are on the invitation list for the event as places are free, but strictly limited.
