Partner responsible for Rossdales Equine Diagnostic Centre
Sarah first came to Newmarket in 1989 when she was a student at the British Racing School, and subsequently worked for the legendary racehorse trainer Mr Harry Thompson Jones. After deciding on a veterinary career, Sarah graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2002. She subsequently undertook an internship in a large equine hospital in Canada followed by two years in first opinion equine practice in the South of England.
In 2005, Sarah joined Rossdales as an orthopaedic assistant at Rossdales Equine Hospital and became a partner in 2012. Sarah is now partner responsible for Rossdales Equine Diagnostic Centre. Her area of specialism is equine diagnostic imaging and, in addition to a busy internal case load, she provides an image reading service and MRI/CT consultancy to equine practices both in the UK and around the world.
Sarah publishes and lectures widely on a variety of topics related to equine imaging and has a number of collaborative equine clinical research projects in progress. Her main research interest is comparative imaging of subchondral bone injury in the racing Thoroughbred. Sarah was awarded associate membership of the European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging in 2011 and is currently studying for an RCVS Fellowship.
